Chesmar, led by president Scott Merovitch, will donate the construction management of their Hillcrest plan in Lago Mar, a Land Tejas development. Land Tejas is donating the homesite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cChesmar and the \u2018Chesmarian\u2019 team have shown their deep commitment to giving back to the community through various charitable organizations,\u201d said Terry Swenson, public relations director of the GHBA and the Benefit <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-31734 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/chesmar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/HOU-lagomar-community-chesmarhomes-IG-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>Homes Project. \u201cChesmar\u2019s Don Klein and Scott Merovitch have led the Benefit homes team to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities. GHBA is grateful and honored to have them as part of the team for 2020, especially during such a difficult year for all industries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of GHBA members have participated in the Benefit Homes Project throughout its history. Two to three homes are built with donated materials, labor, services and time. The Benefit Homes Project has raised nearly $12 million since it began.<\/p>\n<p>The Hillcrest plan is a one-story design that features four bedrooms with a game room option; three baths and a two-car attached garaged and a covered patio.<\/p>\n<p>An extended foyer leads to an open casual dining, a family room, and an island kitchen with additional countertop dining. The third bedroom can serve as a second master. The study is convenient to the common area and the master suite.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you consider that Benefit homes are built even during difficult times such as today with COVID-19, that says something about the hearts of the individuals in our industry who make this project a success year after year,\u201d said Swenson.
