Cover Your Patio Furniture

When you’re not using your patio, make sure to cover your furniture to prevent pollen from collecting in the cushions, on the frames, and on tables. If you can’t cover all of your furniture, at least bring in the cushions and make sure to wash off any pollen before you use the table or chairs.

Weeding

Weed pollen is one of the most notorious seasonal allergy triggers. Weeding at the beginning of the season and throughout the warmer months is a great way to reduce your allergies.

Avoid Pollen Producing Plants

Weeds aren’t the only plants that produce pollen that cause allergies. Try to avoid trees and plants that release allergy-causing pollens, such as:

Limit the Amount of Pollen in Your Home

If you’re spending a lot of time out on your patio this allergy season, take care to wash your hands every so often to reduce the amount of pollen on you. Likewise, you should also remove any shoes before entering your home. This will reduce the amount of pollen in your home.

Lastly, there is no way to eliminate pollen completely, but another great way to lessen its impact is to change your air filters regularly.
